The Mito Pintadera

We have chosen to dress our collection of Mito armchairs in history with the image of the Pintadera, emblem of archaic Sardinia, to enhance the beauty and history of ancient civilisations.

The Pintadera is an archaeological artefact in terracotta or ceramic that was used as a mould for 'pintare', or decorating textiles, the body and bread.

It is, according to scholars, a seal used by the Nuragic civilisation to ward off negative energies and to recall abundance and fertility.

The characteristic circular design is in fact reminiscent of the famous Buddhist and Hindu mandalas and it is this that has led scholars to identify this symbol as an instrument for measuring and calculating time. An ancestral calendar linked to the rhythms of nature.

When we think of your office, we like to imagine it as a place where we find the history, culture and taste of those who work there.

The charm of a trademark for an artefact of great preciousness.
